What the figures tell you

The electric motor with all-wheel drive is the powertrain to look at. Being electric, it is quiet and quick from a stop, and it charges at home, at work or at public chargers. With all-wheel drive, it pulls away more surely on slippery roads, though it does not stop any shorter.

Its rating is 18.6 kWh/100 km: about 56 kWh for 300 km. A full charge is rated for 507 km; plan for less in the cold. A 300 km round trip costs roughly $8.37 at our price setting.

Who the Model 3 suits

It suits people curious about the model who want to drive it before they buy. It suits anyone who needs a car for a few days, a week or a month without buying one.

Space and size

As a mid-size car, it has a closed trunk that keeps luggage out of sight. EPA lists 425 litres of luggage space, enough for a family's bags for a long weekend.

Can you rent one?

None in our fleet right now; ask and we look for one for your dates. Similar cars are listed below if you need one now. Ask for this exact car in your request, and we tell you what we can offer.

Getting the car booked

Send a request for the car and dates you have in mind. It is free and it commits you to nothing. We look at the request and send back an offer with the price for your exact dates. Nothing is charged until you approve it and pay.

Each car page lists what is included and what costs extra. Weekly pricing starts at 7 days, and a trip never costs more than that rate for a week. At least 2 hours must separate the request from the pickup.

What you need to rent

Every driver needs an Ontario G2 or G licence and must be 18 or older. The young driver fee covers drivers under 26; older drivers pay no age fee. Your licence and the card you paid with come with you to the pickup.

Before pickup, choose how damage to the car is handled: your auto policy (OPCF 27), your credit card's rental benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. A deposit is held for every rental, about 1 hour before you get the car. Every renter goes through the same check of licence and identity before the car is confirmed.

Tell us your dates and where you want the car, and we will do the rest.
