Colour notes

Tell us if brown is a must or a preference, and we look accordingly. We cannot promise a colour until we confirm; ask for brown and we try. Colour is confirmed in your offer, never before.

Under the hood

Its powertrain is the electric motor with all-wheel drive. Being electric, it is quiet and quick from a stop, and it charges at home, at work or at public chargers. All-wheel drive sends power to all four wheels, which helps on snow and wet roads; good tires still matter most.

It uses 18.6 kWh per 100 km, so 300 km takes about 56 kWh of charge. Rated range: 507 km. Winter and highway speeds bring it down. The electricity for 100 km comes to about $2.79 at our price setting.

Practical details

Being a mid-size car, it is easy to park and comfortable on longer drives. The EPA measures its luggage space at 425 litres, roughly a family's bags for a long weekend.

A good match for

It suits visitors who want a familiar car for a week in town. It suits someone whose own car is in the shop for a while.

Renting the Model 3 from CarmaCars

This exact car is not in our fleet at the moment; a request asks us to look for one. A request for your dates gets you an offer from a person. Similar cars are listed below if you need one now.

How it works

The process opens with a request from you, which costs nothing and binds you to nothing. Back comes an offer you can read at your own pace, with every charge on it. Nothing is charged until you approve it and pay.

The calendar on each car's page helps you pick dates that work. A single booking can run up to 365 days. For longer, it renews month after month. Leave at least 2 hours between your request and the pickup.

Requirements

Ontario G2 or G licence holders aged 18 and up can request a car. Drivers below 26 pay a fee each day of the rental, and older drivers pay none. At the handover we check your licence and the card in your name.

Every rate includes liability to others. Damage to the car is covered by your choice: OPCF 27, your card's rental benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. The deposit amount depends on the car and is shown on its page. Every driver's licence and identity are checked before we confirm.

When you know your dates

Request a car, read the offer, and decide. That is the whole process.
