Engine and fuel

Power comes from the electric motor, driving through a 1-speed automatic. Being electric, it is quiet and quick from a stop, and it charges at home, at work or at public chargers. With all-wheel drive, it pulls away more surely on slippery roads, though it does not stop any shorter.

Its rating is 18.6 kWh/100 km: about 56 kWh for 300 km. Rated range: 507 km. Winter and highway speeds bring it down. A weekend of 300 km comes to about $8.37 at our price setting.

A good match for

It suits a work trip where a reliable car matters more than anything else. It suits a family trip where everyone and everything fits in one car.

Size and space

It is a straightforward car to drive, park and live with. The EPA lists 425 litres for luggage, roughly a family's bags for a long weekend.

How it works

Tell us the car and the dates in a request. There is no fee for asking. You get an offer that says exactly what the rental costs before tax. The booking is confirmed when you approve the offer and pay it.

The rates you see on a car's page are the rates in your offer. One booking runs up to 365 days, and a longer stay renews with a new agreement. Short notice is fine: 2 hours is the minimum before a pickup.

Licence, age and card

Drivers 18 and older can rent with a valid Ontario G2 or G licence. Under 26? You can rent, with a daily young driver fee shown on the car's page. The payment card and the licence must match the driver's name.

Third-party liability is included in the rate. For damage to the car, you choose one of three options before pickup. The deposit is released after the return, once the car is checked. Additional drivers can be added; each one meets the same rules and signs the agreement.
