What the specs mean

The powertrain here is the electric motor with all-wheel drive and a 1-speed automatic. Being electric, it is quiet and quick from a stop, and it charges at home, at work or at public chargers. All-wheel drive sends power to all four wheels, which helps on snow and wet roads; good tires still matter most.

For every 100 km it uses about 18.6 kWh. Rated range: 507 km. Winter and highway speeds bring it down. At our price setting, it costs about $2.79 to drive 100 km.

Space, size and seats

Its car body is low and settled, with a separate trunk. Its 425 litres of luggage space fit a family's bags for a long weekend.

Who rents the Model 3

Its all-wheel drive suits winter roads and trips to ski country. It suits city driving and anyone with charging at home or work.

What to bring

Ontario G2 or G licence holders aged 18 and up can request a car. Each day of the rental carries a young driver fee if a driver is under 26. Payment is by a card in your name, shown with your licence at pickup.

Third-party liability is part of every rate, and damage to the car is handled by OPCF 27, a card benefit or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. Deposits differ by car. Each car's page shows its amount. Additional drivers can be added; each one meets the same rules and signs the agreement.

Booking, step by step

Booking starts online: pick the car, set the times, and send the request at no cost. Next comes our offer, with the confirmed car and every charge on one page. Offers stay open for 24 hours. Approve one and pay to book the car.

Each car has its own page with its photos, its rates and its calendar. Short trips and long stays use the same request; the rate follows the length. A pickup can be as soon as 2 hours after your request, when the car is free.
