Driver basics

Drivers need to be 18 or over, holding an Ontario G2 or G licence for the whole rental. The daily young driver fee is shown on each car's page, for drivers under 26. A card in the driver's own name is required at the handover.

For damage to the car itself, have your own policy (OPCF 27), a credit card with rental car coverage, or add the CarmaCars Protection Plan. The deposit is taken shortly before pickup, and the balance comes back after the return. Every renter goes through the same check of licence and identity before the car is confirmed.
