In black

Ask for black in your request; the offer confirms the colour of the car. If black matters for an event, say so and we look for one for your dates. Want black? Put it in the request.

What the figures tell you

The engine is the 2.0L 4-cylinder, with front-wheel drive and a 10-speed automatic. It runs on regular gas. Front-wheel drive is the usual layout for cars this size, predictable in the rain and the snow.

It is rated at 6.6 L/100 km combined; 300 km takes about 20 litres. In money, 1,000 km costs about $102.30 at our price setting.

Best uses

It suits someone whose own car is in the shop for a while. It suits visitors who want a familiar car for a week in town.

How big it is

A car body like this keeps the weight low, so it feels settled on the highway. With 510 litres of luggage space by the EPA's measure, it takes a family's bags for a long weekend.

Driver requirements

Every driver needs an Ontario G2 or G licence and must be 18 or older. A young driver fee applies each day for drivers under 26. A card in your name pays for the rental, and we see it with your licence at pickup.

Liability to other people is included in every rate. For the car itself, pick your own policy (OPCF 27), a card with rental car benefits, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. There is a deposit for each rental, taken shortly before pickup rather than at booking. The checks are the same for everyone: licence, identity and the agreement.

How it works

Start with a request. Choose the car, the pickup time and the return time, and send it without paying anything. The offer comes from a person, not a robot, and it carries the full price. Your card is charged only when you approve the offer.

Each car shows its own extra kilometre rate, so nothing surprises you later. Trips of 7 days or more use the weekly rate, and shorter trips never cost more than it. The minimum notice is 2 hours, so an afternoon pickup can be requested in the morning.
