Choosing a colour

Want silver? Put it in the request. We cannot promise a colour until we confirm; ask for silver and we try. Our silver cars, when we have them, appear first in the list.

Specs, explained

It is powered by the 3.5L 6-cylinder, with front-wheel drive. It runs on regular gas. With front-wheel drive, the weight of the engine sits over the driven wheels, which helps in winter.

At 10.1 L/100 km combined, a 300 km drive takes roughly 30 litres of fuel. A 300 km weekend costs about $46.98 in energy at our price setting.

Space and size

Its SUV body gives a high seating position and an easy load height.

Who rents the Highlander

It suits a stretch of weeks between selling one car and buying the next. It suits visitors who want a familiar car for a week in town.

Renting the Highlander from CarmaCars

Similar cars are below if you need one sooner. A request for your dates gets you an offer from a person. We have none on the site right now. Send a request for this exact car and we look for one for your dates.

What we need from you

The minimum age is 18, and the licence must be an Ontario G2 or G, valid for the whole trip. Young drivers, under 26, can rent too, with a fee for each day. A card in your name pays for the rental, and we see it with your licence at pickup.

Third-party liability is in the rate; for the car, bring OPCF 27, use your card's benefit, or add the CarmaCars Protection Plan. Your deposit is held for the rental and released after the car comes back and is checked. Licence and identity checks happen before the booking is confirmed.

How it works

A request is free and takes a few minutes: the car, your dates, and pickup or delivery. Our reply is an offer that lists the rate, the kilometres included and any delivery fee. Approve the offer to book the car. That is the moment you pay, not before.

Each car shows its rate for a day, a weekend day, a week and a month. Trips of 7 days or more use the weekly rate, and shorter trips never cost more than it. Give us 2 hours or more before the pickup and we can usually make it work.

When you know your dates

The quickest way to a price is a request with your dates. It costs nothing.
