The 1993 Vector W8: an overview
Here is what the 1993 Vector W8 offered, in numbers and plain words.
Specs, explained
The 6.0L 8-cylinder turbo does the work, through a 3-speed automatic. It calls for premium gas, which costs more a litre than regular. Rear-wheel drive gives balanced handling; in winter, the tires make the biggest difference. The automatic gearbox makes city traffic easy.
It is rated at 29.4 L/100 km combined; 300 km takes about 88 litres. City driving is rated 33.6 L/100 km and highway driving 23.5. The fuel for 100 km comes to about $51.45 at our price setting. We count premium at $1.75 a litre for the cost figures on this page.
How far it goes
A long weekend away is easy to price with the figures on this page. Plan longer trips against the kilometres included each day. For a trip out of Ontario, ask first: it needs our written consent.
A good match for
It suits a family trip where everyone and everything fits in one car. It suits a summer weekend or a special occasion more than a move. It suits someone whose own car is in the shop for a while.
Room inside
As a two-seat sports car, it puts the driving first and the luggage second.

Getting the car booked
Pick your car, enter your dates and send the request. That is all you do at first, and it is free. The reply is an offer you can read in full before you decide anything. Payment happens only after you accept the offer.
Every car lists its own deposit and the kilometres included each day. Rent for a day, a week or up to 365 days in one booking. Same-day requests are fine with at least 2 hours of notice, when the car is free.
What we ask of drivers
Every driver needs an Ontario G2 or G licence and must be 18 or older. Drivers under 26 can rent with a young driver fee each day. A card in your name pays for the rental, and we see it with your licence at pickup.
Before the keys change hands, one of three options must be in place for the car: OPCF 27, a card benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. We hold the deposit shortly before pickup and release it after the return. Extra drivers are welcome; each one is checked and signs the agreement.
