Car Buffing: what is involved

CarmaCars has no location in Progress South; we do paint correction in the Toronto area. Buffing the paint by machine, usually before a wax or a coating. Paint correction is machine polishing that takes out swirls and light scratches; deep scratches may need paint. Outside work covers the paint, wheels, tires, glass and trim.

Regular washes in winter help keep road salt from attacking the paint. Park out of direct sun when you can to protect paint and interior.

Ask what is included, so you can compare quotes fairly. The condition of the car matters too; heavy dirt, deep scratches or rust take longer. The same job can take more time on a car with more trim or detail.

Timing

A wash or a light detail takes hours; paint correction, film and coatings can take days. We keep you posted if the timing changes. Weather and curing times can change the schedule for some work.

Take valuables and personal items out of the car before the work. Empty the trunk and the door pockets so every surface can be reached. Leave a phone number where we can reach you during the day.
