Car Buffing: what is involved
Our shop work happens in the Toronto area. We have no location in Waterville. The short version: Buffing the paint by machine, usually before a wax or a coating. Paint correction is machine polishing that takes out swirls and light scratches; deep scratches may need paint. Outside work covers the paint, wheels, tires, glass and trim.
What to send us
Not sure what the car needs? Describe it and we suggest the right work. If the job turns out bigger than expected, we tell you before doing more. Every car is different, so we reply with a price for yours. Tell us whether the car can be dropped off or needs to be picked up.
A few things first
Child seats can be taken out so the seats under them get cleaned. Tell us about any marks or damage already on the car, so we note them together. Bring the keys you use every day, and the wheel lock key if the car has one.
What affects the price
Options such as sensors, trim pieces or special paint can add time. Photos let us give a closer price before we see the car in person. The size of the car matters: an SUV or a van has more surface than a compact car.
Timing
Waiting on parts is the most common reason a repair takes longer. We confirm how long the car will be with us when we confirm the price. If you need the car back by a date, say so and we plan for it.
Aftercare
Hand washing is gentler than automatic brushes on any finish. Ask us when the next visit would make sense for your car.
Our area and Waterville
To be clear: CarmaCars rents cars in the Toronto area, not in Waterville. Measured in a straight line, Waterville is about 1,516 km from our location in Toronto; we deliver within about 250 km.
If the car will be in Toronto for a while, tell us the dates and we fit the work in. We cannot send anyone to Waterville to do the work. We would rather tell you no than overpromise, so ask about Waterville if you like. Note that our prices are shown in Canadian dollars.
