Engine and fuel

Power comes from the 2.0L 4-cylinder turbo hybrid, driving through a 7-speed automatic. As a hybrid, it does best in stop-and-go traffic, where the electric motor does more of the work. All-wheel drive helps when pulling away on snow; braking and steering still depend on the tires.

Plan on about 25 litres per 300 km; the combined rating is 8.3 L/100 km. At our price setting, 1,000 km costs about $128.70.

Who it is for

It suits a stretch between cars, by the week or the month. It suits stop-and-go driving and rideshare or delivery work.

Space and size

It is a straightforward car to drive, park and live with. The trunk holds 340 litres by the EPA's count: about two large suitcases and a few soft bags.

Renting this car

A request for your dates gets you an offer from a person. We have none on the site right now. Send a request for this exact car and we look for one for your dates. Similar cars are listed below if you need one now. The handover is in person, at your address or at our location.

What we check

An Ontario G2 or G licence and an age of 18 or more: that is where it starts. Each day of the rental carries a young driver fee if a driver is under 26. The card must be in the driver's name, and we check it with the licence in person.

You pick how damage to the car is handled before pickup: OPCF 27, a credit card benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. The deposit is taken shortly before pickup, and the balance comes back after the return. We check every driver; it takes a few minutes and protects everyone.

What happens when you ask for a car

Booking starts online: pick the car, set the times, and send the request at no cost. The reply is an offer you can read in full before you decide anything. Pay when you approve, not a minute before.

Prices on each car's page are before tax, and the offer adds the tax. A week or more is priced at the weekly rate, from 7 days. At least 2 hours must separate the request from the pickup.

Next step

Send a request with your dates, and we will come back with an offer.
