Auto loans: silver 2021 Nissan Kicks SR in Ruby

The 2021 Nissan Kicks SR for buyers

We rent cars and sell one only now and then. There is no 2021 Nissan Kicks SR for sale by us right now. CarmaCars does not finance cars. Renting is not a loan, so there is no credit check to rent. This page puts the 2021 Nissan Kicks SR in plain words for buyers: what it uses, what to check, and how to try one first.

A buyer's checks

Check whether every recall was done, by the VIN, before you pay. Ask for the service records and check open recalls by the VIN. A pre-purchase inspection at a shop you choose is money well spent. There are 2 NHTSA recall campaigns on file; a dealer can check by the VIN whether each was done.

What the specs mean

The 1.6L 4-cylinder is what moves it, with front-wheel drive. It runs on regular gas. Front-wheel drive is the usual layout for cars this size, predictable in the rain and the snow.

The combined figure, 7.1 L/100 km, means roughly 21 litres for 300 km. At our price setting, it costs about $11.01 to drive 100 km. EPA puts its fuel cost at US$2,050 a year for 15,000 miles at US prices.

Space and size

A car body like this keeps the weight low, so it feels settled on the highway. Luggage space is rated at 708 litres: bulky luggage, a stroller or sports gear.

When the Kicks makes sense

It suits anyone who needs a car for a few days, a week or a month without buying one. It suits a family trip where everyone and everything fits in one car.

A longer test drive

If the Kicks is in our fleet, its page shows the rates; if not, a similar car helps you judge. Load it with your things and park it where you park; then decide. Try the Kicks on your commute, then decide.

The cost of driving it

At our price setting, 100 km costs about $11.01 in fuel. A 1,000 km month costs roughly $110.10 at our price setting. Get an insurance quote for this exact model before you buy; rates differ a lot between models.

Which one to look for

Compare the SR with the other trims of the same year before you decide. Write down the VIN of any car you consider; it unlocks the recall and service history. A newer year is not always better; check what changed before paying more for it.
