The work on your Skylark
CarmaCars takes requests for paint work on the 1985 Buick Skylark, and rents you a car while yours is in. Paint work is matched to the original colour, panel by panel or the whole car.
About your Skylark
Photos of the car help us quote it accurately. We note the car's condition with you when it comes in. If the car has open recalls, a dealer fixes them; ask about them while the car is off the road.
What happens after you ask
We reply within one business day with a time and a price. We confirm the price and the time with you before any work. You can add a rental to the same request.
Your car is in; you are not stuck
Rent by the day while your car is in, delivered to you. While it is repaired, rent from us: an insurance replacement rental when the repair is a claim your adjuster approves, or at our usual rates. Delivery covers the Toronto area, priced by distance in your offer; pickup from us is free.
Looking after it afterwards
If anything about the work looks wrong after you collect the car, tell us. Hand washing is gentler than automatic brushes on any finish.
Timing
If the car must stay overnight, we tell you before it comes in. Book a little ahead for larger jobs; small ones can be quicker to schedule.
What affects the price
A quote lists what is included, so you can compare it fairly. Paint colours with pearl or metallic finishes can take more work to match. The same job can take more time on a car with more trim or detail.
What to bring
Photos of the damage taken at the scene help with the repair and the claim. Take valuables and personal items out of the car before the work. Bring the keys you use every day, and the wheel lock key if the car has one.
Send a request
A person reads your request and replies with a price and a time.
