Booking the work for the Acadia
CarmaCars takes requests for paint work on the 2017 GMC Acadia, and rents you a car while yours is in. Paint work is matched to the original colour, panel by panel or the whole car.
What your car means for the work
We note the car's condition with you when it comes in. Photos of the car help us quote it accurately. NHTSA lists 4 recall campaigns for this model; a repair visit is a good moment to ask whether each was done.
What happens after you ask
You can add a rental to the same request. Your quote is for your car, not a general price list. Tell us when the car is free and whether you can drop it off.
A car while yours is in
While it is repaired, rent from us: an insurance replacement rental when the repair is a claim your adjuster approves, or at our usual rates. Add a rental to the same request as the work. The handover is in person, at your address or at our location.
What affects the price
If we find something unexpected, we ask before we change the price. Older paint or heavy wear can mean more preparation before the main work. A quote lists what is included, so you can compare it fairly.
Keeping it that way
A quick wipe of bird droppings and sap stops them from marking the paint. Rinse off winter salt regularly to protect paint and wheels.
Before you drop the car off
Arrive at the time we confirm, so the work can start on schedule. Tell us about any marks or damage already on the car, so we note them together. Take valuables and personal items out of the car before the work.
When the car is ready
Weather and curing times can change the schedule for some work. We confirm how long the car will be with us when we confirm the price.

A person reads every request and replies with the next step.
