Booking the work for the ACM
This page covers paint work for the 1985 GMC ACM, and a rental while the car is with us. Paint work is matched to the original colour, panel by panel or the whole car.
The car itself
We note the car's condition with you when it comes in. Tell us the year and the trim; the details change from one to the next. NHTSA lists no recall campaign for this model year.
What to send us
A person reads your request and replies with the next step. Tell us whether you can drop the car off or need it collected. Send the year, the trim and what you want done; photos make the price more accurate.
A car while yours is in
Add a rental to your request, and we deliver it to you. A rental by the day covers the time your car is in. Your offer shows the delivery fee if you want the car brought to you.
Before you drop the car off
Point out anything you want us to pay special attention to. Arrive at the time we confirm, so the work can start on schedule. Ask any question you have before the work starts.
Keeping it that way
Keep the invoice with your records; it helps when you sell the car. Keep a soft cloth in the car for small marks.
What affects the price
A quote from us is free and comes with no obligation. We quote your car, not an average car, so the price fits the job. A quote lists what is included, so you can compare it fairly.
When the car is ready
Coatings and paint need time to cure, which is part of the schedule. If the car must stay overnight, we tell you before it comes in.
