Booking the work for the Capri
Your 1990 Mercury Capri and paint work: what to send us, what it involves, and a car to drive meanwhile. Paint work is matched to the original colour, panel by panel or the whole car.
What your car means for the work
We note the car's condition with you when it comes in. As a small car, it is a straightforward size for this work. If the car has open recalls, a dealer fixes them; ask about them while the car is off the road.
Booking the work
Send the year, the trim and what you want done; photos make the price more accurate. Send a few photos and the year and trim; that is enough for a first price. Tell us when the car is free and whether you can drop it off.
Need a car meanwhile?
Rent by the day while your car is in, delivered to you. A rental by the day keeps you moving while your car is in. We meet you with the car at the time we confirm, at your address or ours.
Looking after it afterwards
A quick wipe of bird droppings and sap stops them from marking the paint. Ask us how to care for the work when you collect the car.
Why prices differ
The quote shows the price for your car and what it includes. If we find something unexpected, we ask before we change the price. Ask what is included, so you can compare quotes fairly.
Timing
Parts on order can add days to a repair; we tell you when that happens. If the car must stay overnight, we tell you before it comes in.
On the day
Photos of the damage taken at the scene help with the repair and the claim. Bring the keys you use every day, and the wheel lock key if the car has one. Bring the claim number and your adjuster's details if the repair is a claim.
