Auto paint: the 2014 Scion iQ
Here is how we handle paint work for the 2014 Scion iQ: the request, the work and a car to drive meanwhile. Paint work is matched to the original colour, panel by panel or the whole car.
Size and finish
If something on the car is already damaged, show us in the photos. We note the car's condition with you when it comes in. NHTSA lists no recall campaign for this model year.
Booking a time
We reply within one business day with a time and a price. We confirm the price and the time with you before any work. Tell us when the car is free and whether you can drop it off.
A rental while we work
A rental by the day covers the time your car is in. While it is repaired, rent from us: an insurance replacement rental when the repair is a claim your adjuster approves, or at our usual rates. Pick it up from us for free, or have it brought to you.
What affects the price
Options such as sensors, trim pieces or special paint can add time. Paint colours with pearl or metallic finishes can take more work to match. The size of the car matters: an SUV or a van has more surface than a compact car.
How long it takes
We keep you posted if the timing changes. You can plan the rental for the same number of days as the work.
After the work
New paint needs time to harden fully; ask us when it is safe to wash and wax. Keep the invoice with your records; it helps when you sell the car.
Getting the car ready
Bring the claim number and your adjuster's details if the repair is a claim. If you need a rental, add it to the request so it is ready when you arrive. Take valuables and personal items out of the car before the work.
Let us know
Send a request with the car and the work, and we reply with a price and a time.
