Auto rental: beige 2021 Subaru Forester Base in Ruby

Auto rental with this car

The 2021 Subaru Forester Base for a rental car: the facts first, then the booking. You choose the car; a person confirms it and sends the price. Every car has its own page with its rates and calendar.

Ruby and the Forester

If you are starting from Toronto, rent the car here and drive it to Ruby. Ruby is about 281 km from Toronto, outside our delivery area.

The pages for Abbottsford, Atkins and The Lakes Mobile Home Park cover the areas next door.

Specs, explained

The engine is the 2.5L 4-cylinder, with all-wheel drive and an automatic (CVT). It runs on regular gas. All-wheel drive helps when pulling away on snow; braking and steering still depend on the tires.

The combined figure, 8.2 L/100 km, means roughly 25 litres for 300 km. That works out to about $12.71 per 100 km at our price setting.

A good match for

It suits a stretch of weeks between selling one car and buying the next. It suits a stretch between cars, by the week or the month.

Space, size and seats

As a compact SUV, it sits higher than a sedan, which makes getting in and loading easier.

Renting the Forester from CarmaCars

A request for your dates gets you an offer from a person. We have none on the site right now. Send a request for this exact car and we look for one for your dates. Similar cars are below if you need one sooner.

Who qualifies

Ontario G2 or G licence holders aged 18 and up can request a car. Drivers under 26 pay a young driver fee for each day, shown on each car's page. Debit works on cars marked "no credit card needed"; the others take a credit card.

Every rate includes liability to others. Damage to the car is covered by your choice: OPCF 27, your card's rental benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. A deposit is held before each rental; the amount is on the car's page. We check your licence and identity before we confirm, the same way for every renter.

Getting the car booked

You choose a car and your dates online and send a request. Sending it costs nothing. Someone on our team confirms the car is free for those dates and sends you an offer with every charge listed. Approve it and the car is booked; decline it and nothing happens.

The calendar on each car's page helps you pick dates that work. One booking runs up to 365 days, and a longer stay renews with a new agreement. Plan for at least 2 hours between sending the request and picking up the car.
