For a rental car, the 2020 Subaru Outback Premier XT could fit; below, the figures and how booking works. Every car has its own page with its rates and calendar. You choose the car; a person confirms it and sends the price.

Yameri and the Outback

If you are starting from Toronto, rent the car here and drive it to Yameri. CarmaCars is based in Toronto, about 3,364 km from Yameri, and does not deliver there.

Neighbouring areas include San Francisco el Ocatal, San Francisco el Ocotal and Río Tiltepec.

Reading the spec sheet

Power comes from the 2.5L 4-cylinder, driving through an automatic (CVT). It runs on regular gas. All-wheel drive sends power to all four wheels, which helps on snow and wet roads; good tires still matter most.

Combined fuel use is 8.2 L/100 km: about 25 litres for 300 km. Every 100 km costs about $12.71 in fuel at our price setting.

Inside and out

Being a compact SUV, it handles luggage, strollers and sports gear well.

Good uses for the Outback

It suits a work trip where a reliable car matters more than anything else. It suits a weekend away when the train does not reach where you are going.

What we need from you

You need an Ontario G2 or G licence, valid for the whole rental, and to be 18 or older. Age fees stop at 26: younger drivers pay a daily young driver fee. A credit card in your name is needed, except on cars marked "no credit card needed", which take debit.

Third-party liability is in the rate; for the car, bring OPCF 27, use your card's benefit, or add the CarmaCars Protection Plan. Deposits are listed car by car, so you can compare before you ask. Before confirming, we verify the licence and identity of each driver.

How to book

Your part at the start is short: choose a car and dates and send a free request. An offer follows, with the car we confirm and the full price for your dates. An offer is valid for 24 hours, and you pay only when you approve it.

Compare cars side by side by opening their pages. A rental of 7 days or longer is priced at the weekly rate. Short notice is fine: 2 hours is the minimum before a pickup.
