About the Tesla
For a rental car, the Tesla is one of many cars on CarmaCars, each with its own page. Every car has its own page with its rates and calendar. You choose the car; a person confirms it and sends the price.
What the specs mean
The EPA does not rate this model year for fuel use; heavier trucks and vans are often not rated.
Best uses
It suits a family trip where everyone and everything fits in one car. It suits client visits, weddings and special weekends.
Space, size and seats
Our car of this model has 5 seats.
Renting this car
Ask for your dates, and we reply with what we can offer. We have 1 Tesla cars on the site now, each with its own calendar and price. Delivery starts at $0 plus distance; collecting the car yourself is free.
The booking steps
A short online request with the car and your times gets things moving, at no cost. Then we send an offer. The offer shows the price before 13% HST and the deposit. Approving the offer and paying it confirms the booking.
Every car lists its own deposit and the kilometres included each day. The longer the booking, the lower the rate a day tends to be. The shortest notice we accept before a pickup is 2 hours.
Renting: the basics
The minimum age is 18, and the licence must be an Ontario G2 or G, valid for the whole trip. Age fees stop at 26: younger drivers pay a daily young driver fee. Bring the card you paid with and your original licence to the handover.
Three options cover damage to the car: OPCF 27 on your auto policy, a credit card with rental car benefits, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. A deposit applies to every rental. It is shown on the car's page and taken about 1 hour before pickup. Licence and identity checks happen before the booking is confirmed.

Auto rental: the Tesla
Can I rent a Tesla in Toronto?
Yes. We have one on the site now, each with its own calendar and price. Choose your dates on the car's page and send a request; nothing is charged until we confirm and you approve.
How old do I need to be to rent?
18 or older at pickup, with an Ontario G2 or G licence valid for the whole rental. Drivers aged 18 to 20 pay a young driver fee of $35 a day, and 21 to 25 pay $20 a day.
How much is the deposit?
Between $500 and $5,000, depending on the car. It is taken about 1 hour before pickup, never when you book, and the balance is released within 7 business days after you return the car.
What coverage do I need?
Third-party liability is included in the rate. For damage to the car itself, have your own policy (OPCF 27), a credit card with rental car coverage, or add the CarmaCars Protection Plan, priced in your offer by car and driver age. At $2,500 or more we claim on our fleet policy and you pay the $2,500 deductible.
Can the car be delivered?
Yes, anywhere, including Toronto Pearson International Airport and Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport. Delivery starts at $0 plus the distance from our location, priced in your offer. Collecting the car yourself is free.
