Battery boost: how we help
The 1985 GMC WCA and battery service: CarmaCars arranges a trusted shop, and never does the work itself. A battery that struggles in the cold is often near the end of its life.
About your WCA
If you have the service history of your WCA, have it ready for the shop. The shop sets its own price and time after it sees the car. Bring the owner's manual or service records if you have them.
How the arrangement works
You agree the price with the shop before any work starts. The repair is between you and the shop; the rental is with us. We follow up until the shop has the car booked in.
A rental while you wait
Rent by the day or the week, and stop when your car is back. We can have a rental ready the day your car goes in. The car can come to your door in the Toronto area, or you pick it up at no charge.
Getting a clear quote
Ask when the car will be ready and how the shop will tell you. Keep the invoice; it is part of the car's service history. If the car must stay overnight, ask where it will be kept.
Good habits for your car
Check that all lights work every few weeks. Top up the washer fluid with a winter mix in the cold months. Switch to winter tires before the first snow, and back in spring.
Make a request
Need a rental too? Add it to the same request.
Request battery boost
Tell us when suits you. A person replies within one business day and arranges it with a trusted shop or recommends one; the shop sets its own price and time.
