The 2018 Tesla Model X: Battery boost
CarmaCars does not do mechanical work, but for battery service on the 2018 Tesla Model X we arrange a trusted shop. Lights left on overnight are the classic reason for a flat battery.
Before the shop sees your Model X
Note the mileage on the odometer when you send the request. The shop may ask for the VIN to order the right parts. An electric car also has a small 12 V battery that can go flat like any other. The electric motor does the work, through a 1-speed automatic.
What CarmaCars does here
We keep you posted until the car is booked in. You agree the price with the shop before any work starts. Tell us when suits you, and whether the car can be driven.
No car? Rent one meanwhile
The rental is priced like any other on our site. Keep moving with a rental while the shop has your car, by the day at our usual rates. Delivery is priced by distance in your offer, and pickup from us is free.
Small things that help
Do not ignore a warning light; an early check often costs less than a late repair. Check the tire pressure once a month, when the tires are cold. Keep a record of every service; it helps the shop and adds value when you sell.
Before the shop starts
If a warning light was the reason, ask what the code was and what fixed it. Ask if the shop needs the car for a full day or only a few hours. Ask for the work to be listed line by line on the invoice.
Let us know
Ask in your request, and we tell you plainly what we can arrange.
Request battery boost
Tell us when suits you. A person replies within one business day and arranges it with a trusted shop or recommends one; the shop sets its own price and time.
