The A4 and Java

CarmaCars is based in Toronto, about 1,639 km from Java, and does not deliver there. We rent from Toronto only. If your trip to Java starts in the Toronto area, rent the car here.

If you are near Java, Selby, Lowry and Sitka are close too.

The figures, translated

The powertrain to know here is the 2.0L 4-cylinder turbo, with front-wheel drive. The turbo gives a small engine the pull of a bigger one when you need it. With front-wheel drive, the weight of the engine sits over the driven wheels, which helps in winter.

Its combined rating is 7.9 L/100 km, which means roughly 24 litres for 300 km. Per 100 km, plan on roughly $13.83.

Who rents the A4

It suits a family trip where everyone and everything fits in one car. It suits visitors who want a familiar car for a week in town.

What to expect from the A4

A car body like this keeps the weight low, so it feels settled on the highway. The length is 4.76 m. Check the size of a tight parking spot. The EPA lists 368 litres for luggage, roughly about two large suitcases and a few soft bags.

Booking with CarmaCars

To book, you request the car for your dates. There is no charge to send it and no obligation. We answer with a written offer: the car, the dates, the price and the deposit. You pay only once you approve the offer.

Every car has its own daily, weekend, weekly and monthly rate. The longer the booking, the lower the rate a day tends to be. Short notice is fine: 2 hours is the minimum before a pickup.

The rules, briefly

Our minimum age is 18; an Ontario G2 or G licence is required. The daily young driver fee is shown on each car's page, for drivers under 26. Payment is by a card in your name, shown with your licence at pickup.

If you have no auto policy and no card benefit, the CarmaCars Protection Plan is the third option, priced in your offer. Expect a deposit before every rental; its amount is set by the car. Before confirming, we verify the licence and identity of each driver.
