Before you rent

If you are 18 or over and hold an Ontario G2 or G licence, you can rent. If you are under 26, expect a young driver fee each day; there is no upper age limit. Payment is by a card in your name, shown with your licence at pickup.

The CarmaCars Protection Plan is priced in your offer by car and driver age, as one of three options for damage to the car. The deposit is never taken when you book; it comes about 1 hour before pickup. Additional drivers can be added; each one meets the same rules and signs the agreement.

Getting the car booked

To get started, send a request for the car and dates. You are not charged for it. You get an offer that says exactly what the rental costs before tax. Approve it and the car is booked; decline it and nothing happens.

Every car has its own daily, weekend, weekly and monthly rate. Rent for a day, a week or up to 365 days in one booking. The minimum notice is 2 hours, so an afternoon pickup can be requested in the morning.
