Black SUV service: the 2021 Ford Escape SE

Want to know if the 2021 Ford Escape SE suits a car with a driver? Read on. Winter tires are an add-on on the SUVs that offer them. Chauffeur bookings are by the hour, two hours minimum; send a request and we reply with the vehicle we can offer and the price.

The Escape and Java

If you need it in Java itself, send a request and we will tell you honestly whether we can help. CarmaCars is based in Toronto, about 1,072 km from Java, and does not deliver there.

Places around Java include Tara Village, South Side and Howe.

Engine and fuel

It runs the 1.5L 3-cylinder turbo, with front-wheel drive. The turbo gives a small engine the pull of a bigger one when you need it. With front-wheel drive, the weight of the engine sits over the driven wheels, which helps in winter.

Plan on about 23 litres per 300 km; the combined rating is 7.8 L/100 km. At our price setting, driving 100 km costs about $12.09, and a 300 km weekend about $36.27.

Best uses

It suits a weekend away when the train does not reach where you are going. It suits a stretch between cars, by the week or the month.

Space and size

The higher seat of a compact SUV gives a good view of the road in traffic.

Renting it

None in our fleet right now; ask and we look for one for your dates. Similar cars are below if you need one sooner. A request for your dates gets you an offer from a person.

What we need from you

An Ontario G2 or G licence and an age of 18 or more are the starting point. If you are under 26, expect a young driver fee each day; there is no upper age limit. A credit card in your name is needed, except on cars marked "no credit card needed", which take debit.

Liability to other people is included in every rate. For the car itself, pick your own policy (OPCF 27), a card with rental car benefits, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. We hold the deposit shortly before pickup and release it after the return. Licence and identity checks happen before the booking is confirmed.

Booking with CarmaCars

Start with a request. Choose the car, the pickup time and the return time, and send it without paying anything. An offer follows, with the car we confirm and the full price for your dates. When you approve the offer and pay, the car is booked for you.

You can check any car's calendar before you send a request. Book one day, one week, or up to 365 days at once. At least 2 hours must separate the request from the pickup.
