What the specs mean

The 1.8L 4-cylinder does the work, through an automatic (CVT). It runs on regular gas. Front-wheel drive is the usual layout for cars this size, predictable in the rain and the snow.

Expect about 23 litres for every 300 km, going by its 7.6 L/100 km combined rating. Per 100 km, plan on roughly $11.78.

Room inside

Being a mid-size car, it is easy to park and comfortable on longer drives. For luggage, 368 litres means about two large suitcases and a few soft bags.

Who the Corolla suits

It suits commuters, couples and business trips. It suits a work trip where a reliable car matters more than anything else.

Can you rent one?

Tell us your dates and we check this car or the closest match. None in our fleet right now; ask and we look for one for your dates. Similar cars are listed below if you need one now.

Who qualifies

Drivers 18 and older can rent with a valid Ontario G2 or G licence. Drivers under 26 pay a young driver fee for each day, shown on each car's page. A card in your name pays for the rental, and we see it with your licence at pickup.

Before the keys change hands, one of three options must be in place for the car: OPCF 27, a card benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. Expect a deposit before every rental; its amount is set by the car. A quick licence and identity check happens before we confirm any booking.

The steps

Requests are free: choose a car, add your dates, and send it. We answer with a written offer: the car, the dates, the price and the deposit. Offers stay open for 24 hours. Approve one and pay to book the car.

Open a car to see its photos, rates, deposit and kilometres included. From 7 days, the weekly rate takes over. Last-minute plans are fine with at least 2 hours of notice.

When you know your dates

The next step is yours: send a request whenever you are ready.
