Buffing: the Autokraft
CarmaCars takes requests for paint correction on the Autokraft, and rents you a car while yours is in. Outside work covers the paint, wheels, tires, glass and trim. Paint correction is machine polishing that takes out swirls and light scratches; deep scratches may need paint.
The car itself
If something on the car is already damaged, show us in the photos. We note the car's condition with you when it comes in. Tell us the year and the trim; the details change from one to the next.
What to send us
Send a few photos and the year and trim; that is enough for a first price. Tell us whether you can drop the car off or need it collected. We confirm the price and the time with you before any work.
Stay on the road
Keep driving while it is detailed: we deliver a rental and collect it when yours is ready. Keep driving: rent from us while the work is done. Delivery covers the Toronto area, priced by distance in your offer; pickup from us is free.
Getting the car ready
Arrive at the time we confirm, so the work can start on schedule. Child seats can be taken out so the seats under them get cleaned. Leave a phone number where we can reach you during the day.
Keeping it that way
Hand washing is gentler than automatic brushes on any finish. Regular washes in winter help keep road salt from attacking the paint.
When the car is ready
We confirm how long the car will be with us when we confirm the price. Waiting on parts is the most common reason a repair takes longer.
How the price is set
If we find something unexpected, we ask before we change the price. A quote lists what is included, so you can compare it fairly. The condition of the car matters too; heavy dirt, deep scratches or rust take longer.
