Buffing: the 1987 GMC DS
Here is how we handle paint correction for the 1987 GMC DS: the request, the work and a car to drive meanwhile. Paint correction is machine polishing that takes out swirls and light scratches; deep scratches may need paint. Outside work covers the paint, wheels, tires, glass and trim.
About your DS
Tell us the year and the trim; the details change from one to the next. As a car, it is a straightforward size for this work. Photos of the car help us quote it accurately.
Your request
Tell us when the car is free and whether you can drop it off. Nothing is booked until you agree to the price and the time. Send a few photos and the year and trim; that is enough for a first price.
Keep driving meanwhile
We collect the rental when your car is ready. Add a rental to your request, and we deliver it to you. Delivery and pickup are both options across the Toronto area.
What goes into a quote
The same job can take more time on a car with more trim or detail. We explain the price in plain words if anything is unclear. The condition of the car matters too; heavy dirt, deep scratches or rust take longer.
Planning around the work
Book a little ahead for larger jobs; small ones can be quicker to schedule. A wash or a light detail takes hours; paint correction, film and coatings can take days.
What to bring
Take valuables and personal items out of the car before the work. Bring the keys you use every day, and the wheel lock key if the car has one. Tell us about any marks or damage already on the car, so we note them together.
Keeping it that way
Rinse off winter salt regularly to protect paint and wheels. Look over the work in daylight when you collect the car.
