The work on your Calais
CarmaCars takes requests for paint correction on the 1985 Oldsmobile Calais, and rents you a car while yours is in. Paint correction is machine polishing that takes out swirls and light scratches; deep scratches may need paint. Outside work covers the paint, wheels, tires, glass and trim.
Your Calais, up close
Tell us the year and the trim; the details change from one to the next. If something on the car is already damaged, show us in the photos. We note the car's condition with you when it comes in.
Getting a price
Send the year, the trim and what you want done; photos make the price more accurate. You can add a rental to the same request. Your quote is for your car, not a general price list.
Driving while yours is in
We bring the rental to you and collect it later. We collect the rental when your car is ready. Pick it up from us for free, or have it brought to you.
What goes into a quote
We quote your car, not an average car, so the price fits the job. Older paint or heavy wear can mean more preparation before the main work. Larger vehicles take more product and more hours, so they cost more.
After the work
Corrected paint stays glossy longer with gentle hand washing. Rinse off winter salt regularly to protect paint and wheels.
How long you are without it
Book a little ahead for larger jobs; small ones can be quicker to schedule. A wash or a light detail takes hours; paint correction, film and coatings can take days.
A few things first
Take valuables and personal items out of the car before the work. Ask any question you have before the work starts. Tell us about any marks or damage already on the car, so we note them together.
Get an offer
Book the work with a short request, and add a rental if you need one.
Request buffing
Tell us when suits you; we reply within one business day with a time and a price.
