Car battery replacement for the 2002 Ford Explorer
For battery service on your 2002 Ford Explorer, we arrange a trusted shop; CarmaCars does not do the work. A battery that struggles in the cold is often near the end of its life.
About your Explorer
Your owner's manual lists the maintenance schedule for the Explorer. Note the mileage on the odometer when you send the request. Tell the shop the year, the trim and the engine: the 4.0L 6-cylinder. The 4.0L 6-cylinder with rear-wheel drive is the powertrain to look at.
What CarmaCars does here
Your request goes to a person, who arranges a trusted shop or gives you its name. Tell us when suits you, and whether the car can be driven. Send a request with the car and what it needs; a person replies within one business day and arranges it with a trusted shop or recommends one.
No car? Rent one meanwhile
A rental from us keeps you moving while the shop has your car. We deliver the rental to you and collect it when your car is ready. Delivery is priced by distance in your offer, and pickup from us is free.
Talking to the shop
Ask whether the estimate includes tax and shop supplies. Ask how the shop takes payment before you pick the car up. Ask what warranty the shop gives on its parts and labour.
Car care, briefly
Switch to winter tires before the first snow, and back in spring. Keep the fuel tank above a quarter in winter. Top up the washer fluid with a winter mix in the cold months.
One more step
Need a rental too? Add it to the same request.
Request car battery replacement
Tell us when suits you. A person replies within one business day and arranges it with a trusted shop or recommends one; the shop sets its own price and time.
