If the car pulls to one side, ask the shop to check the alignment and the tires. Check the tire pressure once a month, when the tires are cold. Look at the tire tread before long trips.

If the car must stay overnight, ask where it will be kept. Ask how the shop will contact you if it finds something unexpected. If a warning light was the reason, ask what the code was and what fixed it.
