Arranging the work for the X5
CarmaCars does not do mechanical work, but for a diagnostic check on the BMW X5 we arrange a trusted shop. A warning light is the car asking for a diagnostic scan; the code tells the shop where to look.
About your X5
Bring the owner's manual or service records if you have them. The shop may ask for the VIN to order the right parts. The shop sets its own price and time after it sees the car.
How the arrangement works
We tell you plainly if we do not know a shop for the job. We can deliver a rental to you while your car is at the shop. Tell us when suits you, and whether the car can be driven.
Keep moving meanwhile
We bring the rental to you and collect it afterwards. Rent by the day while the shop has your car. Pick it up from us for free, or have it brought to you.
Car care, briefly
Keep a record of every service; it helps the shop and adds value when you sell. Switch to winter tires before the first snow, and back in spring. Keep the fuel tank above a quarter in winter.
A short checklist
Ask whether the shop needs your keys, the wheel lock key or the spare. Ask how long the job should take, so you know how long to rent for. Ask how the shop will contact you if it finds something unexpected.
