The BMW XM: Car diagnostics
Your BMW XM needs a diagnostic check? We do not do mechanical work, but we arrange it and rent you a car meanwhile. A steady check engine light needs a check soon; a flashing one means pull over safely and get help.
Before the shop sees your XM
Tell the shop about any warning light or sound you have noticed. Mention the trim and engine in your request; parts differ between them. If you have the service history of your XM, have it ready for the shop.
Who does what
We pass your request to a trusted shop or give you its name. We do not set the shop's price or promise a date. We can deliver a rental to you while your car is at the shop.
Your rental while you wait
We collect the rental when your car is back. We deliver the rental to you and collect it when your car is ready. Pick it up from us for free, or have it brought to you.
Small things that help
Have the battery tested before winter if it is more than a few years old. Top up the washer fluid with a winter mix in the cold months. Note the mileage when each service is done, so you know when the next is due.
Getting a clear quote
If the car must stay overnight, ask where it will be kept. Ask for the work to be listed line by line on the invoice. Keep the invoice; it is part of the car's service history.
