Car diagnostics: how we help
CarmaCars does not do mechanical work. For a diagnostic check on the 2004 Cadillac DeVille, we connect you with a trusted shop. A steady check engine light needs a check soon; a flashing one means pull over safely and get help.
Your car, your notes
Tell the shop the year, the trim and the engine: the 4.6L 8-cylinder. The shop may ask for the VIN to order the right parts. The shop sets its own price and time after it sees the car. The powertrain to know here is the 4.6L 8-cylinder, with front-wheel drive.
How the arrangement works
Your request goes to a person, who arranges a trusted shop or gives you its name. We tell you plainly if we do not know a shop for the job. The repair is between you and the shop; the rental is with us.
A car while yours is in the shop
The rental is priced like any other on our site. Pick a car that suits your week from our fleet. Your offer shows any delivery fee before you pay.
Car care, briefly
Check that all lights work every few weeks. If the car pulls to one side, ask the shop to check the alignment and the tires. Clear snow off the whole car, roof included, before you drive.
Before the shop starts
Ask for the work to be listed line by line on the invoice. Ask whether anything else is close to needing attention, and how soon. If you want to see the old parts, ask for them back.
Want a price?
Start with the car, the job and your location.
Request car diagnostics
Tell us when suits you. A person replies within one business day and arranges it with a trusted shop or recommends one; the shop sets its own price and time.
