Car diagnostics: how we help
CarmaCars does not do this work itself. For a diagnostic check on the 2002 Cadillac Hearse, we arrange it with a trusted shop or connect you with one. A steady check engine light needs a check soon; a flashing one means pull over safely and get help.
Your car, your notes
Mention the trim and engine in your request; parts differ between them. The shop sets its own price and time after it sees the car. Say whether the car is drivable; it changes how it gets to the shop.
How we help
You agree the price with the shop before any work starts. Send the car's details and what it needs; we take it from there. Your request goes to a person, who arranges a trusted shop or gives you its name.
Driving while yours is at the shop
Rent by the day while the shop has your car. The rental is priced like any other on our site. We deliver across the Toronto area, or you collect the car from our location for free.
Talking to the shop
Ask how the shop will contact you if it finds something unexpected. Ask whether the shop needs your keys, the wheel lock key or the spare. Ask what warranty the shop gives on its parts and labour.
Good habits for your car
Keep an emergency kit in the trunk in winter. Clear snow off the whole car, roof included, before you drive. Check the tire pressure once a month, when the tires are cold.
Talk to a person
Send a request with the car and what it needs, and a person replies within one business day.
Request car diagnostics
Tell us when suits you. A person replies within one business day and arranges it with a trusted shop or recommends one; the shop sets its own price and time.
