Arranging the work for the Conquest
CarmaCars does not do mechanical work, but for a diagnostic check on the 1983 Dodge Conquest we arrange a trusted shop. A steady check engine light needs a check soon; a flashing one means pull over safely and get help.
Your car, your notes
Say whether the car is drivable; it changes how it gets to the shop. The shop may ask for the VIN to order the right parts. Tell the shop about any warning light or sound you have noticed.
What to send us
You approve the shop's quote before any work. We can deliver a rental to you while your car is at the shop. We pass your request to a trusted shop or give you its name.
No car? Rent one meanwhile
We collect the rental when your car is back. Rent by the day while the shop has your car. We bring the car to your address in the Toronto area, or you collect it for free.
Small things that help
Check that all lights work every few weeks. Have the battery tested before winter if it is more than a few years old. Do not ignore a warning light; an early check often costs less than a late repair.
Questions to ask the shop
Ask whether anything else is close to needing attention, and how soon. Ask when the car will be ready and how the shop will tell you. Ask whether the parts are new, rebuilt or used.
Send a request
Describe the problem, and we arrange a trusted shop.
Request car diagnostics
Tell us when suits you. A person replies within one business day and arranges it with a trusted shop or recommends one; the shop sets its own price and time.
