The Ford E250 Van: Car diagnostics
CarmaCars does not do mechanical work, but for a diagnostic check on the Ford E250 Van we arrange a trusted shop. A warning light is the car asking for a diagnostic scan; the code tells the shop where to look.
Details the shop needs
The shop sets its own price and time after it sees the car. Bring the owner's manual or service records if you have them. Mention the trim and engine in your request; parts differ between them.
Our part and the shop's part
The repair is between you and the shop; the rental is with us. Tell us when suits you, and whether the car can be driven. You agree the price with the shop before any work starts.
A car while yours is in the shop
Rent for as long as the job takes, by the day or the week. We can have a rental ready the day your car goes in. Delivery to your door is available across the Toronto area.
Questions to ask the shop
Ask whether the shop needs your keys, the wheel lock key or the spare. Ask for a written estimate before any work starts. Ask whether the shop will check anything related while the car is there.
Small things that help
Keep the spare, the jack and the wheel lock key where you can find them. Clear snow off the whole car, roof included, before you drive. Replace wiper blades when they streak; it matters in rain and snow.
Ready when you are
Start with a short request; a person replies within one business day.
Request car diagnostics
Tell us when suits you. A person replies within one business day and arranges it with a trusted shop or recommends one; the shop sets its own price and time.
