Car diagnostics: how we help
Searching for car diagnostics for the 2012 Ford Edge? CarmaCars does not do this work itself; we arrange it with a trusted shop. A warning light is the car asking for a diagnostic scan; the code tells the shop where to look.
Details the shop needs
Note the mileage on the odometer when you send the request. Mention the trim and engine in your request; parts differ between them. A photo of the dashboard warning light helps the shop prepare. Under the hood: the 2.0L 4-cylinder turbo and front-wheel drive.
What CarmaCars does here
We tell you plainly if we do not know a shop for the job. We keep you posted until the car is booked in. You agree everything with the shop before work begins.
Driving while yours is at the shop
We deliver the rental to you and collect it when your car is ready. Rent for as long as the job takes, by the day or the week. Pick it up from us for free, or have it brought to you.
Small things that help
Clear snow off the whole car, roof included, before you drive. Do not ignore a warning light; an early check often costs less than a late repair. Check the tire pressure once a month, when the tires are cold.
Talking to the shop
Ask whether the shop needs your keys, the wheel lock key or the spare. If you want to see the old parts, ask for them back. Ask whether the parts are new, rebuilt or used.
Make a request
Ask us, and we tell you whether we can arrange it.
Request car diagnostics
Tell us when suits you. A person replies within one business day and arranges it with a trusted shop or recommends one; the shop sets its own price and time.
