Arranging the work for the Taurus
Need a diagnostic check for the 2009 Ford Taurus? We arrange it with a trusted shop; the work is never done by CarmaCars. A steady check engine light needs a check soon; a flashing one means pull over safely and get help.
Your car, your notes
A photo of the dashboard warning light helps the shop prepare. Tell the shop about any warning light or sound you have noticed. The shop sets its own price and time after it sees the car. The 3.5L 6-cylinder does the work, through a 6-speed automatic.
What to send us
We follow up until the shop has the car booked in. We keep you posted until the car is booked in. You agree everything with the shop before work begins.
A car meanwhile
A rental from us keeps you moving while the shop has your car. Add a rental to the same request as the repair. Delivery is priced by distance in your offer, and pickup from us is free.
Questions to ask the shop
Ask whether the parts are new, rebuilt or used. Ask for the work to be listed line by line on the invoice. Ask what warranty the shop gives on its parts and labour.
Small things that help
Note the mileage when each service is done, so you know when the next is due. Have the cabin air filter changed on the maker's schedule. Use the grade of fuel your owner's manual calls for.
One more step
Tell us what is wrong with the car, and we arrange the rest with a trusted shop.
Request car diagnostics
Tell us when suits you. A person replies within one business day and arranges it with a trusted shop or recommends one; the shop sets its own price and time.
