What to ask
Keep the invoice; it is part of the car's service history. Ask what warranty the shop gives on its parts and labour. Ask whether the shop needs your keys, the wheel lock key or the spare.
Between shop visits
Clear snow off the whole car, roof included, before you drive. Keep an emergency kit in the trunk in winter. Wash the underside of the car in winter to clear road salt.
