The Genesis: Car diagnostics
Your Genesis needs a diagnostic check? We do not do mechanical work, but we arrange it and rent you a car meanwhile. A warning light is the car asking for a diagnostic scan; the code tells the shop where to look.
Details the shop needs
Tell the shop about any warning light or sound you have noticed. The shop sets its own price and time after it sees the car. Mention the trim and engine in your request; parts differ between them.
Who does what
Your request goes to a person, who arranges a trusted shop or gives you its name. We follow up until the shop has the car booked in. Send a request with the car and what it needs; a person replies within one business day and arranges it with a trusted shop or recommends one.
Keep moving meanwhile
Add a rental to the same request as the repair. If the repair runs long, keep the rental longer. The handover is in person, at your address or at our location.
What to ask
Ask how the shop takes payment before you pick the car up. If the car must stay overnight, ask where it will be kept. If you want to see the old parts, ask for them back.
Car care, briefly
Use the grade of fuel your owner's manual calls for. Wash the underside of the car in winter to clear road salt. Note the mileage when each service is done, so you know when the next is due.
