Car diagnostics for the 1985 GMC DS
Your 1985 GMC DS needs a diagnostic check? We do not do mechanical work, but we arrange it and rent you a car meanwhile. A steady check engine light needs a check soon; a flashing one means pull over safely and get help.
About your DS
If you have the service history of your DS, have it ready for the shop. The shop may ask for the VIN to order the right parts. Tell the shop about any warning light or sound you have noticed.
What CarmaCars does here
We keep you posted until the car is booked in. You agree the price with the shop before any work starts. We pass your request to a trusted shop or give you its name.
A rental while you wait
We collect the rental when your car is back. A rental from us keeps you moving while the shop has your car. Delivery to your door is available across the Toronto area.
Small things that help
Replace wiper blades when they streak; it matters in rain and snow. Keep the fuel tank above a quarter in winter. Check the tire pressure once a month, when the tires are cold.
What to ask
Ask how the shop will contact you if it finds something unexpected. Ask whether the shop needs your keys, the wheel lock key or the spare. Ask how long the job should take, so you know how long to rent for.
Talk to a person
Ask, and we tell you plainly what we can arrange.
Request car diagnostics
Tell us when suits you. A person replies within one business day and arranges it with a trusted shop or recommends one; the shop sets its own price and time.
