Car diagnostics for the 1987 GMC Forward Control
Your 1987 GMC Forward Control needs a diagnostic check? We arrange a trusted shop; CarmaCars does not do the work. A steady check engine light needs a check soon; a flashing one means pull over safely and get help.
Your Forward Control and the shop
A photo of the dashboard warning light helps the shop prepare. Say whether the car is drivable; it changes how it gets to the shop. Tell the shop about any warning light or sound you have noticed.
The steps
We pass your request to a trusted shop or give you its name. We do not set the shop's price or promise a date. The shop sets the price and the time after seeing the car.
A car meanwhile
The rental is priced like any other on our site. Rent by the day while the shop has your car. We meet you with the car at the time we confirm, at your address or ours.
Good habits for your car
Check that all lights work every few weeks. Note the mileage when each service is done, so you know when the next is due. Top up the washer fluid with a winter mix in the cold months.
Before the shop starts
Ask whether anything else is close to needing attention, and how soon. If the car must stay overnight, ask where it will be kept. Ask whether the shop will check anything related while the car is there.
When you know your dates
Describe the problem, and we arrange a trusted shop.
Request car diagnostics
Tell us when suits you. A person replies within one business day and arranges it with a trusted shop or recommends one; the shop sets its own price and time.
