Car diagnostics for the 1985 GMC WIS
For a diagnostic check on your 1985 GMC WIS, we arrange a trusted shop; CarmaCars does not do the work. A steady check engine light needs a check soon; a flashing one means pull over safely and get help.
Before the shop sees your WIS
Mention the trim and engine in your request; parts differ between them. Bring the owner's manual or service records if you have them. Say whether the car is drivable; it changes how it gets to the shop.
From request to repair
Tell us when suits you, and whether the car can be driven. You agree everything with the shop before work begins. The shop quotes the job; you approve it before any work.
A car meanwhile
Keep moving with a rental while the shop has your car, by the day at our usual rates. We can have a rental ready the day your car goes in. We deliver across the Toronto area, or you collect the car from our location for free.
Talking to the shop
Ask how the shop takes payment before you pick the car up. Ask whether the quote includes both parts and labour. Ask when the car will be ready and how the shop will tell you.
Small things that help
Have the cabin air filter changed on the maker's schedule. Note the mileage when each service is done, so you know when the next is due. Top up the washer fluid with a winter mix in the cold months.
Your move
Start with the car, the job and your location.
Request car diagnostics
Tell us when suits you. A person replies within one business day and arranges it with a trusted shop or recommends one; the shop sets its own price and time.
