Car diagnostics for the 2016 Honda Pilot EX

CarmaCars does not do mechanical work, but for a diagnostic check on the 2016 Honda Pilot EX we arrange a trusted shop. A steady check engine light needs a check soon; a flashing one means pull over safely and get help.

Your Pilot and the shop

If you have the service history of your Pilot, have it ready for the shop. Tell the shop the year, the trim and the engine: the 3.5L 6-cylinder. Say whether the car is drivable; it changes how it gets to the shop. The engine is the 3.5L 6-cylinder, with front-wheel drive and a 9-speed automatic.

Our part and the shop's part

Send the car's details and what it needs; we take it from there. We keep you posted until the car is booked in. The shop quotes the job; you approve it before any work.

A car while yours is in the shop

If the repair runs long, keep the rental longer. We collect the rental when your car is back. Collect the car at our location for free, or have it delivered.

Before the shop starts

If you want to see the old parts, ask for them back. Ask whether the parts are new, rebuilt or used. Ask when the car will be ready and how the shop will tell you.

Good habits for your car

Listen for new noises and mention them to the shop with as much detail as you can. Have the battery tested before winter if it is more than a few years old. Keep a record of every service; it helps the shop and adds value when you sell.

Ready to ask?

Send the car's details and the job, and we take the next step.
