Arranging the work for the ES
CarmaCars does not do this work itself. For a diagnostic check on the 2005 Lexus ES, we arrange it with a trusted shop or connect you with one. A warning light is the car asking for a diagnostic scan; the code tells the shop where to look.
Before the shop sees your ES
Mention the trim and engine in your request; parts differ between them. If you have the service history of your ES, have it ready for the shop. Tell the shop the year, the trim and the engine: the 3.3L 6-cylinder. The powertrain to know here is the 3.3L 6-cylinder, with front-wheel drive.
The steps
Your request goes to a person, who arranges a trusted shop or gives you its name. You approve the shop's quote before any work. The shop quotes the job; you approve it before any work.
Keep moving meanwhile
Rent by the day or the week, and stop when your car is back. We bring the rental to you and collect it afterwards. Collect the car at our location for free, or have it delivered.
Car care, briefly
Keep an emergency kit in the trunk in winter. Clear snow off the whole car, roof included, before you drive. Have the cabin air filter changed on the maker's schedule.
Questions to ask the shop
Ask the shop to explain the repair in plain words before you agree. Ask whether anything else is close to needing attention, and how soon. Ask what warranty the shop gives on its parts and labour.
Make a request
Need a rental too? Add it to the same request.
Request car diagnostics
Tell us when suits you. A person replies within one business day and arranges it with a trusted shop or recommends one; the shop sets its own price and time.
