Arranging the work for the ES
For a diagnostic check on your 2018 Lexus ES, we arrange a trusted shop; CarmaCars does not do the work. A steady check engine light needs a check soon; a flashing one means pull over safely and get help.
Details the shop needs
If you have the service history of your ES, have it ready for the shop. Tell the shop the year, the trim and the engine: the 2.5L 4-cylinder hybrid. The shop sets its own price and time after it sees the car. Its 2.5L 4-cylinder hybrid drives through an automatic (CVT).
How we help
We follow up until the shop has the car booked in. Send a request with the car and what it needs; a person replies within one business day and arranges it with a trusted shop or recommends one. You approve the shop's quote before any work.
A car meanwhile
Add a rental to the same request as the repair. Rent by the day or the week, and stop when your car is back. Delivery to your door is available across the Toronto area.
Car care, briefly
If the car pulls to one side, ask the shop to check the alignment and the tires. Keep a record of every service; it helps the shop and adds value when you sell. Keep an emergency kit in the trunk in winter.
Questions to ask the shop
If a warning light was the reason, ask what the code was and what fixed it. Ask for the work to be listed line by line on the invoice. Ask how long the job should take, so you know how long to rent for.
