The 2017 Lexus LX: Car diagnostics
The 2017 Lexus LX and a diagnostic check: CarmaCars arranges a trusted shop, and never does the work itself. A warning light is the car asking for a diagnostic scan; the code tells the shop where to look.
Before the shop sees your LX
Bring the owner's manual or service records if you have them. Tell the shop about any warning light or sound you have noticed. Note the mileage on the odometer when you send the request. The 5.7L 8-cylinder is what moves it, with four-wheel drive.
Who does what
We keep you posted until the car is booked in. We do not set the shop's price or promise a date. Send the car's details and what it needs; we take it from there.
Driving while yours is at the shop
We can have a rental ready the day your car goes in. We deliver the rental to you and collect it when your car is ready. Pick it up from us for free, or have it brought to you.
Before the shop starts
Ask whether anything else is close to needing attention, and how soon. Ask whether the estimate includes tax and shop supplies. Ask the shop to explain the repair in plain words before you agree.
Small things that help
Note the mileage when each service is done, so you know when the next is due. If the car pulls to one side, ask the shop to check the alignment and the tires. Replace wiper blades when they streak; it matters in rain and snow.
Make a request
Send a request with the car and what it needs, and a person replies within one business day.
Request car diagnostics
Tell us when suits you. A person replies within one business day and arranges it with a trusted shop or recommends one; the shop sets its own price and time.
