Car diagnostics: how we help
The 2012 Mazda 6 and a diagnostic check: CarmaCars arranges a trusted shop, and never does the work itself. A steady check engine light needs a check soon; a flashing one means pull over safely and get help.
Details the shop needs
Say whether the car is drivable; it changes how it gets to the shop. Tell the shop the year, the trim and the engine: the 2.5L 4-cylinder. Tell the shop about any warning light or sound you have noticed. The 2.5L 4-cylinder with front-wheel drive is the powertrain to look at.
What to send us
Tell us when suits you, and whether the car can be driven. Send a request with the car and what it needs; a person replies within one business day and arranges it with a trusted shop or recommends one. Your request goes to a person, who arranges a trusted shop or gives you its name.
A car while yours is in the shop
Rent by the day while the shop has your car. Rent by the day or the week, and stop when your car is back. Delivery and pickup are both options across the Toronto area.
What to ask
Ask for a written estimate before any work starts. Ask how the shop will contact you if it finds something unexpected. If a warning light was the reason, ask what the code was and what fixed it.
Between shop visits
Replace wiper blades when they streak; it matters in rain and snow. Keep the spare, the jack and the wheel lock key where you can find them. Have the battery tested before winter if it is more than a few years old.
Still deciding?
Tell us the job and the car, and a person replies.
Request car diagnostics
Tell us when suits you. A person replies within one business day and arranges it with a trusted shop or recommends one; the shop sets its own price and time.
