Arranging the work for the Leaf
CarmaCars does not do mechanical work. For a diagnostic check on the 2012 Nissan Leaf, we connect you with a trusted shop. A steady check engine light needs a check soon; a flashing one means pull over safely and get help.
Before the shop sees your Leaf
Mention the trim and engine in your request; parts differ between them. The shop may ask for the VIN to order the right parts. If you have the service history of your Leaf, have it ready for the shop. It is powered by the electric motor, with front-wheel drive.
From request to repair
We keep you posted until the car is booked in. The shop sets the price and the time after seeing the car. Your request goes to a person, who arranges a trusted shop or gives you its name.
A car while yours is in the shop
Keep moving with a rental while the shop has your car, by the day at our usual rates. Rent for as long as the job takes, by the day or the week. Collect the car at our location for free, or have it delivered.
Before the shop starts
Ask whether the shop will check anything related while the car is there. Ask for the work to be listed line by line on the invoice. Ask whether the estimate includes tax and shop supplies.
Car care, briefly
Clear snow off the whole car, roof included, before you drive. Check the tire pressure once a month, when the tires are cold. Check that all lights work every few weeks.
